SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the petroleum and gas industry and can be used to prolong the operation of a valve with electric centrifugal or rod deep-well pumps intended for pumping liquids with a high content of mechanical impurities. The apparatus is installed on the tubing string (tubing) in order to protect the pumping equipment from the deposition of polluting particles, and comprises a body wherein a discharge grid is installed on the inside; a filtering element configured to move along the axis of the body and be pressed against the grid by a spring mechanism is installed above said grid. The filtering element is made with hydrophobic treatment from an elastic wire permeable material, or from perforated fluoroplast, or from perforated disk-shaped polymer plates, or from filtering wire meshes.

EFFECT: function of the regenerable sludge catcher is increased due to the possibility of the use thereof with any type of pumps, valves, and of the installation thereof in any configuration behind the pumping equipment; design is simplified while the regenerating capacity is increased; reliability and service life of the filtering element and the pumping equipment are increased.
