FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and serves to measure the radiation pattern (RP) of the receiving and transmitting phased antenna array (PAA) of a radar station. The expected result is achieved by the fact that a method for measuring the RP of the receiving and transmitting radar PAA is proposed, according to the invention, the transmitting output of the receiving and transmitting radar PAA emits a signal in the direction of a reflector located in the far zone of the PAA, the reflected signal is received by the receiving input of the PAA, the amplitude of the reflected signal is measured, and a spacecraft is anticipatorily transported into orbit around the Earth, the body of which is made in the form of a regular hexagonal straight prism, and on one of the bases of the prism a recess is made in the form of a regular triangular pyramid, in which a triangular corner reflector (CR) with triangular or sector faces of flat mutually perpendicular radio reflecting plates is rigidly fixed, the radiation pattern of the radar PAA is determined from the measured values of the amplitude of the reflected signal.

EFFECT: ensuring the measurement of the bottom of the PAA RP during the operation of the radar without using an additional signal source and an auxiliary antenna.
