FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ammoxidation catalyst, a method for production thereof, and to a method for producing acrylonitrile in the presence of said catalyst. Catalyst contains molybdenum, bismuth, iron, and nickel, wherein the ratio of the mass concentration of nickel on the surface to the mass concentration of nickel in the volume is from 0.60 to 1.20. Method for producing the catalyst includes: a stage of spray drying a suspension containing molybdenum, bismuth, iron, and nickel to obtain dried particles and calcine the dried particles in air to obtain calcined particles; a stage of pretreatment to reduce the calcined particles by subjecting to a state wherein the calcined particles are brought into contact with a mixed gas containing propylene, ammonia, oxygen, and helium; and a stage of reducing the calcined particles in the presence of reducing gas and oxygen. The molar ratio of oxygen:propylene during the treatment for reduction is reduced by an amount from 0.10 or more to 0.50 or less from the molar ratio of oxygen:propylene during the pretreatment for reduction.
EFFECT: catalyst capable of increasing the yield of hydrogen cyanide while maintaining a high yield of acrylonitrile during propylene ammoxidation.
