FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for protection of optical fiber inside a well cable, a seismic cable, or other cable, while reducing signal quality loss on optical fiber. The claimed cable contains: a cable core and a set of reinforcing wire carrier elements, which surround the cable core. At the same time, the first reinforcing wire carrier element of the set of reinforcing wire carrier elements contains an inner space with a groove, in which the first optical fiber is placed, wherein the inner space with a groove is located in a channel in the first reinforcing wire carrier element. Moreover, the inner space with a groove is isolated in the channel by means of a cap formed for insertion into the specified channel and defining that the first reinforcing wire carrier element has a round cross-section.
EFFECT: increase in the quality of a signal from optical fibers.
