FIELD: road building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bitumen-based road-building materials - asphalt and concrete mixtures, in particular, to a method for cohesive hardening of bitumen. The method is implemented by means of introduction of carbon framework structures into bitumen at the temperature of processing thereof, wherein intercalated graphite in an amount of no less than 2.5% of the bitumen mass is used as the framework structure.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is cohesive hardening of bitumen by means of application of intercalated graphite, ensuring the simplicity of the technology for manufacturing the asphalt and bitumen mixture - in particular, a separate stage of preparing modified bitumen using ultrasonic mixers is not required - and the apparent reliability of binding bitumen molecules into a polymeric product.
