SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely, to the production of feed. Animal feed containing: a) 50 to 80% dry weight of cereal grain; b) 0.1 to 15% dry weight of Stramenopiles biomass; at least one, preferably at least two additional components selected from c) byproducts of distillation/production of ethanol in the amount of 40% dry weight or less; d) fodder in the amount of 20% dry weight or less; e) protein flour in the amount of 20% dry weight or less; f) an additional source of fat in the amount of 4% dry weight or less; g) an additional liquid byproduct in the amount of 10% dry weight or less. Method for feeding animals, in particular, land animals, preferably beef cattle, wherein the animals are fed with the proposed feed product.

EFFECT: possibility of improve the characteristics of beef cattle, in particular, for dry matter intake (DMI), average daily weight gain (ADG), gain to feed intake ratio (G:F), net energy for maintenance (NEm), and net energy for growth (NEg).
