FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pneumatic rotary fixing mechanisms of mechanical engineering; it can be used in devices intended for control of a regulating body of a rotary type, including for rotary mechanisms of nuclear power plants and control of plates of different valves. A rotary pneumatic drive contains a case and a rotary mechanism including a through axis, on which a cylindrical surface of a brake is made and cams of the rotary mechanism are placed, and a spring brake including brake springs and a pneumatic cylinder, while channels are made in the case with the possibility of supply of compressed working fluid to cams and the pneumatic cylinder. Brake springs are fixed with one end to a retainer, and with the other end – to a retainer for control of brake springs of a brake rod. The brake rod is equipped with a return spring. A pneumatic cylinder rod is made profiled with a return spring and with the possibility of displacement of the brake rod. A connecting half-coupling is placed on the through axis.
EFFECT: due to achievement of rigidity of fixation of a rotor of a rotary mechanism, in any direction of rotation and spatial location, a working range of a temperature of operation of a rotary-fixing mechanism is expanded.
