FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of drilling equipment, namely, near-bit shock absorbers used to reduce the dynamic load on the drill bit and reduce vibrations propagating through the drill string when drilling vertical, inclined and horizontal oil and gas wells. The near-bit vibration damper contains a cylindrical hollow housing with a nipple at one end and a coupling at the other end and a damping insert mounted on the housing and made in the form of a cylindrical sleeve made of a high damping alloy, the inner diameter of which corresponds to the outer diameter of the housing. The housing and the coupling contain collars, between which a damping insert is located, and an intermediate ring is located between the damping insert and the coupling collar.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of reducing vibrations on the drill string, as well as an increase in the reliability of the design of the near-bit vibration damper.
