FIELD: soil or rock drilling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of drilling and, in particular, to drilling equipment used in geological survey, during drilling of oil and gas wells, as well as in any other jobs related to destruction of rocks by rotating drilling bits. In the drilling bit, comprising a housing made of composite material based on the alloy of titanium and nickel, with washing channels, forming blades, on which cutting elements are fixed, bit body is made of material based on intermetallic titanium nickelide compound at percentage content of nickel – (45...48) and titanium – (52...55), subjected to thermal treatment at temperature (+ 5 °C)…(-35 °C) at atmospheric pressure in air.
EFFECT: making bit housing from heat-treated titanium nickelide increases service life of drilling bit due to ability of bit body material to absorb vibrations occurring during cyclic loads occurring during drilling operations.
