SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to a mixing device and a coffee maker. The mixing device contains a first hole for receiving milk, a second hole for receiving steam, a mixing chamber for mixing milk, steam and air, an outlet pipe that receives mixed liquid from the mixing chamber, and a channel structure between the first and second holes and the mixing chamber. The channel structure contains the first channel section connected between the first hole and the foaming section, the second channel section connected between the second hole and the foaming section. The foaming section is connected to the mixing chamber. The channel structure additionally contains an air intake channel up to the foaming section. The mixing device comprises a barrier element at the outlet of the mixing chamber in front of the outlet pipe, which is designed in such a way that in use the frothing section is sufficiently filled with frothed milk so that the direct path from the second opening to the mixing chamber is interrupted by frothed milk.

EFFECT: reducing the level of unwanted noise.
