FIELD: cryptography.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryptography, in particular to calculation of gamma in stream encryption. In a method for gamma generation, in each cycle, a matrix approach to building of both a state matrix SQ and an auxiliary matrix KQ is used, as a result of matrix transformations over matrices SQ and KQ, a resulting matrix SQL is calculated. Elements of the matrix SQL form a sequence Ki by conversion of numbers of the resulting state matrix SQL_ij from the decimal system to the binary system. After calculation of numbers of the matrix SQL_ij, if the number is equal to N², then a new cycle begins by calculation or selection from a library of a new key matrix KQ.

EFFECT: reduction in time costs for encryption of an initial text and improvement of the quality of encryption due to calculation of a new auxiliary key matrix KQ.
