SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing melamine by urea pyrolysis carried out at high pressure using urea containing formaldehyde as starting material.
EFFECT: technical result: disclosed method of producing melamine enables to obtain melamine, from which end products are obtained, having high whiteness and/or brightness, high resistance to aging; wherein said characteristics can be obtained with less consumption of dyes and/or other additives, such as, for example, titanium dioxide TiO2.
