FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two options of a method for removal of dienes from a material flow containing C3-C5-hydrocarbons by means of selective hydrogenation. According to one of options, the method is carried out at a given pressure and a given temperature of reaction in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst. At the same time, pressure and temperature of the reaction at an input to a reactor are adjusted in such a way that reaction pressure deviation at the input to the reactor from the corresponding given value does not exceed 0.01 bar, and reaction temperature deviation at the input to the reactor from the corresponding given value does not exceed 0.1°C, wherein the amount of hydrogen added for selective hydrogenation is from 2 to 20 moles per mol of diene, which is present in the material flow containing C3-C5-hydrocarbons.
EFFECT: use of the proposed invention allows for removal of dienes with simultaneous compliance with the target product concentration regulated in the specification.
