FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: method for selective hydrogenation of diolefins and acetylene compounds in olefin-rich aliphatic hydrocarbon stream consists in contacting raw stream with hydrogenation catalyst bed in distillation column at 4.44-148.89 C, partial hydrogen pressure 0.007-4.922 kg/sq. cm and total pressure 0-24.61 kg/sq.cm, catalyst being a component of distillation structure, such as applied PdO packed into tubular wear gauge. Raw stream is introduced into lower part of catalyst bed or below and is brought into contact with hydrogen introduced into catalyst bed. Forerun is taken off from the top part of column, condensed, divided, and partially recycled into catalyst bed. Still stream is also partially recycled.
