SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. Worm-cylindrical gear, consisting of a drive shaft with a first worm fixed on it, engaged with a worm wheel, according to the invention, contains an intermediate shaft with a second worm fixed on it, also engaged with a worm wheel and located diametrically opposite to the first worm , the drive and intermediate shafts are parallel and kinematically connected to each other by means of a spur gear with a gear ratio equal to one, formed by spur gears with the same number of teeth, the spur gears are fixedly fixed on the drive and intermediate shafts in order to ensure their synchronous rotation in opposite directions , the worm wheel is fixedly fixed on the driven shaft, and the axes of the driving and intermediate shafts intersect with the axis of the driven shaft with a crossing angle of 90 degrees.
EFFECT: creation of a worm-cylindrical gear capable of transmitting large torques without significant design complication and weight increase.
