SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The variator contains a housing with two unidirectional conical spiral gears installed in it, having the opposite direction of the winding of the gear rings, the primary shaft and the drive and receiving gears placed on it, while the receiving gear is connected to one end of the primary shaft and two transmission gears, each of which is connected to one of the two spiral gears, while the width of the teeth of the drive gear is less than the step of winding the gear rings of the spiral gears by the amount of the required clearance, the secondary shaft, placed coaxially to the primary shaft and fixed at one end in the housing. A reversible electric motor is additionally installed in the housing, the primary shaft is made with an extended key for the possibility of longitudinal movement along the shaft of the drive gear, which is made with a bracket forming a screw pair with an additionally inserted control screw fixed at one end in the housing parallel to the primary shaft, and the other end connected to the reversible electric motor.
EFFECT: reliability of the variator is improved and its design is simplified.
