RADAR MASKING DEVICE OF AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H01Q17/00

Abstract RU 2784639 C1

FIELD: antenna technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna technology, namely, to devices for reducing the level of the reverse radar signal from the air intake of an aircraft engine. The result is achieved by the fact that in the device, the hollow body is made with the possibility of fixation on the body of the aircraft engine, with the formation of a single air channel with the latter and the air intake, the volume grating is made in the form of a ring with radial, s-shaped in cross-section, aerodynamic profile elements installed around the circumference and rigidly connected to the ring and the hollow body, as well as additional radial, s-shaped in cross-section, elements of the aerodynamic profile, made of shorter length than the elements of the aerodynamic profile, each of which is installed between nearby elements of the aerodynamic profile and is rigidly connected to the hollow body, while all elements of the aerodynamic profile are installed in such a way that they obscure the movable structural elements of the engine from the entrance to the hollow body, and a radio-absorbing coating is applied to the surface of the volume grating.

EFFECT: reduction in the level of radar reflections from visible rotating parts of the engine during irradiation and setting the direction of air flow to improve aerodynamic characteristics.
