FIELD: polymeric materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of polymeric materials. Thermoplastic elastomer composition with damping properties consists of 85-40 wt.% polyvinyl butyral, having 8-29 wt.% residues of polyvinyl alcohol units and a plasticizer taken in an amount of 15-60 wt.%, which is a simple or complex oligoester containing at least 3 hydroxyl groups in the molecule, having a hydroxyl number in the range of 150-500 mg KOH/g and a molar mass in the range of 220-2200 g/mol, or a mixture of plasticizers containing at least 50% of the above oligoester.
EFFECT: creation of a thermoplastic elastomer composition with high damping properties, mechanical loss coefficient tgδ ≥ 0.5 and processing temperature up to 120°C for the production of films, foam plastics, fabric-film materials and composites.
