SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying equipment and can be used in agricultural and other grain dryers with a gravitational moving bed, for example, mine, louvered, column, etc. Shaft modular louver-type grain dryer, including a drying-cooling chamber of modules consisting of several narrow shafts, separated from each other by an inter-shaft space with shutters bent at some angle into the flow, and installed one above the other to form a shaft with vertical rows of drying and cooling sections. The grain channel has a width b, determined by the calculation formula, while the blinds themselves have a height h₁=(0,01…0,1)h, where h is the height of the grain channel of one module, the value of the side gap formed by the bent blinds is chosen equal to h₂=(0,1…1)h₁, the value of the step of displacement of the lower edge of the blinds, which has a vertical section, relative to the upper edge of the subsequent blinds is selected equal to h₃=(0,01…0,5)h₁, the bending angle of the blinds ϕ is assumed to be greater than the angle of repose bulk material to be dried, and the width of the under-louver slot b₁ is formed based on the selected dimensions h₂, ϕ and can be of variable cross section.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the dryer, the uniformity of heating and drying of grain, as well as the quality of the finished product.
