FIELD: axisymmetric fragmentation munitions testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing axisymmetric fragmentation munitions with a non-axisymmetric field of fragmentation. To implement the method for testing an axisymmetric fragmentation munition, the munition is detonated, installed in a predetermined position in the center of a profiled target wall, marked into zones corresponding to the directions of fragments expansion in the adopted coordinate system. Recording of hits, capturing and counting the number of fragments falling into each zone, measuring the size and area of ​​holes, registering, recording and subsequent processing of signals from electret sensors located in the corresponding zones of the target wall and equal in size to them, assessing the quantitative characteristics of the fragmentation field according to masses, velocities, shape and size of fragments. The ammunition is installed so that its longitudinal axis coincides with the longitudinal axis of the profiled wall. The profiled target wall is made circular, a non-axisymmetric field of fragments expansion is formed by non-central initiation of the ammunition. The determination of the quantitative characteristics of the fragmentation field in terms of masses, velocities, shape and size of the fragments is carried out for all possible combinations of nodes of non-central initiation of the ammunition.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determining the quantitative characteristics of the fragmentation field in terms of masses, velocities, shape and size of fragments for ammunition with a non-axisymmetric fragmentation field.
