FIELD: light industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry, in particular to the fur industry for processing rabbit skins. The method for processing rabbit skins includes washing and soaking raw materials, where an aqueous solution of a nonionic surfactant based on fatty acids of corn oil and diethanolamine of the following composition is used: a nonionic surfactant based on fatty acids of corn oil and diethanolamine 0.5-1.5 g/l, water - up to 1 l.
EFFECT: proposed method for soaking rabbit skins ensures environmental friendliness of production while reducing the duration of the washing and soaking process from 24 to 14-16 hours and achieving the required moisture content in the skin tissue of rabbit skins of 65-70% without reducing the quality of the skins.
