SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering. Apparatus comprises a comb finder and a rigidly fixed scalpel knife, both installed on a parallelogram suspension. Bars with shoe finders at the ends thereof, interconnected by a spring, are hinged on the parallelogram suspension. The comb finder is configured to move relative to the scalpel knife and is connected by rods with the hinged bars.
EFFECT: possibility of automatic adjustment of the after-cutter to the required root crop after-cutting height, leading to a reduction in the amount of green mass in the pile of harvested root crops and reducing losses.
