FIELD: agriculture; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural machine building. Device comprises frame with support wheels, having separate height adjustment, and rotary cutter with knives. Rotary cutter is installed on additional frame, which is fixed on the main frame of the water-removal device on one side hingedly, and on the other on sides is connected to it through ball hinges and freely passing through them rods hinged on main frame, on which under additional frame compression springs are installed.

EFFECT: possibility to automatically adjust the top cutter to the required height of cutting on sections with development of root crops and tops more or less than average size, which improves implementation of technological process of tops removal, provides for higher quality after-cutting of heads and improves quality of harvested material.
