FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to the use of glucagon-like peptide 2 (hereinafter – GLP-2) analogues; it can be used in medicine. The invention discloses a new peptide GLP-2 analogue, as well as dosing schemes for its administration in case of medical use in the treatment and/or prevention of disorders related to the stomach and the intestine, including for reduction in side effects of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The present invention also describes dosing schemes for administration of GLP-2 analogues for induction of the longitudinal growth of the intestine, for example, for the treatment of patients with the short bowel syndrome (SBS). Options of the medical use for correction of a volume of parenteral nutrition (hereinafter – PN) provided to subjects receiving the treatment, using GLP-2 analogues, in response to the treatment, and algorithms for determination of changes in PN volume are also described.
EFFECT: obtainment of GLP-2 analogues for use in medicine.
