FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry for the protection of power transformers of converter installations. The device for differential protection of the converter plant transformer contains the first, second and third reed switches with normally open contacts and control windings, the first, second and third AND elements, the first, second and third transactors, the first and second null indicators, the first, second and third current relays, first, second and third voltage limiters, first, second and third phase-shift circuits, first, second and third TIME elements, first and second OR elements, first, second and third current transformers, first, second and third blocks for monitoring the presence of aperiodic component in the magnetizing current surge, the first, second and third detuning blocks from the influence of the on-load tap changer, the first, second and third MEMORY elements and the executive body.
EFFECT: ensuring the control of the health of the current protection circuits and the circuit that implements it.
