FIELD: electrical science, power supply modules.

SUBSTANCE: self-powered power module with interface for detecting the connection of an electronic device contains a power source, a controller, an electric switch powered by the controller and a connector. Moreover, the controller includes at least one processor, memory with microprogram, a means for measuring voltage and a timer, the connector contains at least two power contacts connected to plus and minus of the power source via a key and at least one pin connected to a processor I/O port to perform detection of the connection of an electronic device and digital communication with it, and I/O port configured to be pulled to the ground and to the power supply of the controller through an integrated resistor.

EFFECT: providing connection detection and power to the electronic device without using additional circuits in the connector in order to increase the reliability of the connection between the power module and the electronic device, and in order to expand the selection of connectors.
