NON-CONTACT ELECTRICAL PROSPECTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01V3/06

Abstract RU 2786037 C1

FIELD: non-contact electrical prospecting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-contact electrical prospecting methods applicable under poor galvanic grounding conditions (snow cover, frozen and rocky soils, artificial hard surfaces), and can be used in prospecting and exploration of minerals, engineering and geological surveys for construction. An electric field with a frequency of 300 Hz to 30 kHz is excited by means of a current line AB located above the earth's surface. The phase difference between the current I in line AB and the electric field voltage in the measuring line MN and the amplitude of this voltage are measured. The value of the reactive component of the voltage of the electric field is determined by the results of measuring the phase difference and voltage amplitude. The apparent electrical resistivity is calculated from the value of the reactive voltage component in the measuring line MN.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determining electrical resistivity for relatively conductive media.
