FIELD: corrosion-mechanical testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of corrosion-mechanical testing of metals and their alloys and can be used for accelerated testing of specimens with an initial crack made of high-strength steel under conditions close to operational. A device for testing samples of steel for corrosion crack resistance contains a frame, a sample loading mechanism, specimen grippers, a crack growth fixation system, a container with a corrosive medium equipped with a drip system, characterized in that the frame consists of a stable metal frame to which a fixed grip is attached , the second grip is made movable with a low specific gravity, and the grips are made of a passive chemically neutral material or are equipped with gaskets installed on the side of fixing the sample, made of a chemically neutral material in order to avoid electrochemical contact between the sample and the grips. The loading mechanism consists of a movable grip, to the end of which a load is suspended on a metal cable, a container with a corrosive medium, equipped with a drip system, is fixed on a vertical wall attached to the frame above the fixed grip. The drip system is installed with the ability to control the rate of liquid supply so that the liquid enters directly into the crack zone of the sample. The system for fixing the growth of a crack contains a narrowly focused light source, fixedly mounted on a movable grip or load; a stand with markings applied on it for marking light points that change their position in time depending on the growth of a crack in the process of exposure to a corrosive environment and static loading, and a video fixator that constantly registers a change in the glowing point on the stand. The stand is made of transparent material if the video fixator is installed behind the stand, or made of opaque material if the video fixator is installed on the side from which the light beam is directed, a flexible elastic element is attached to the frame and the movable grip, protecting the fracture from a corrosive environment after destruction sample.
EFFECT: expanding functionality, increasing the reliability of tests.
