The method for applying an explosion of an image onto a metal surface is characterized by the fact that a metal plate is laid and fixed on a fixed surface, on the surface of which a stencil with an image is laid and fixed, moreover, the stencil is a sheet with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.3 mm, and in its through the holes press in a highly dispersed abrasive metal powder with a particle size of 50 to 100 microns in a layer with a thickness equal to the thickness of the stencil; explosion, after the explosion, the surface of the resulting metal plate is polished to a mirror state, which makes it possible to obtain a high-quality artistic image.
