FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The cardan shaft (1) of agricultural machines contains cardan joints (2) with bearing assemblies (3), a spline connection (4), two axially coupled pipes (5) fixed to the cardan shaft (1) and covering it. In axially coupled pipes (5), in the zone of the spline connection (4), the first array (6) is made of four holes, the axes of which are located at right angles in one plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the driveshaft (1). In the axially coupled pipes (5), in the zones of the cardan joints (2), a second array (7) of holes is made, the axes of which coincide with the axes of the bearing assemblies (3) of each of the cardan joints (2) at the moment of absence of the angle of fracture in the cardan joints (2) of the cardan shaft (1). The axes of the first array (6) of holes are offset relative to the axes of the second array (7) of holes at an angle of 45°.
EFFECT: present invention increases the durability of the driveshaft by reducing the thermal load of the bearing assemblies and the splined joint during its forward and reverse rotation.
