FIELD: video/image encoding.
SUBSTANCE: method for mutual prediction is proposed, including: determination of a set of the first image blocks in an image block to be processed based on a predetermined width of image splitting, a predetermined height of image splitting, and a width and a height of the image block to be processed; separate implementation of bidirectional prediction of optical streams for the set of the first image blocks to obtain a predictor of each first image block; and obtainment of a predictor of the image block to be processed with a combination of predictors of the set of the first image blocks. Equipment includes a determination module, a prediction module, and a combination module.
EFFECT: reduction in complexity of implementation of mutual prediction and increase in processing efficiency.
