FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the testing of space technology, and in particular to installations for simulating the thermal modes of operation of spacecraft elements, and can be used to test photovoltaic batteries for thermal stability. The above effect is achieved by the fact that in the installation for testing the thermal stability of a sample of a photovoltaic battery, containing a cooling chamber connected to each other, a heating chamber with a heater and a cassette (container) for placing samples, made with the possibility of moving between the chambers on a rod and equipped with temperature sensors , while the cooling chamber is equipped with a liquefied gas temperature sensor, and the heating chamber is equipped with a thermostat, and, in addition, the unit is provided with a replaceable Dewar vessel with a sensor for the absence of liquefied gas, a damper is placed between the cooling chamber and the heating chamber, a box-shaped cryo screen is placed in the cooling chamber, made of a tubular profile with additional return pipelines, and the heating chamber is additionally equipped with a bypass recirculation channel.
EFFECT: expansion of temperature test conditions as a result of the integrated use of heat transfer.
