FIELD: excavation field degassing.

SUBSTANCE: method for degassing an excavation field during the development of a coal seam with longwalls along an uprising is claimed. The method includes making workings outlining sections of a coal seam. It also includes ventilation of workings, sequential mining of the coal seam by stopes, drilling of wells, connecting them to a degassing pipeline and extracting methane. The method also includes drilling a series of wells in successively mined sections of the coal seam into undermined coal seams, first from the nearest working of the next section, then from the ventilation drift of the extraction field above the dismantling chambers of the corresponding sections. After drilling wells on the undermined seams, an additional hole is drilled from the ventilation drift of the excavation field of the well above the collapse domes of the roof of the seam being worked out. At the wellheads, the vacuum is reduced in proportion to their distance from the wells in the area being mined. After that, the accepted concentration of methane is maintained at their mouths with the possibility of utilizing the captured methane-air mixtures.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of degassing of the excavation field and its sections during the development of a gas-bearing coal seam with longwalls along the rise with a small amount of drilling operations.
