FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of maintenance of the ballast base of the railway track, in particular, to machines for stabilising the track and methods for the use thereof. Machine comprises a frame with rail travelling gears and a stabilisation unit configured to be height-adjusted. The unit comprises a vibration generator with rotating imbalance masses and a lifting drive. At the same speed of rotation, the main and auxiliary imbalance masses create different centrifugal forces depending on the direction of rotation. The masses are connected so as to have a first phase of displacement when rotating in one direction and a second phase of displacement when rotating in the other direction. When stabilising the track, the stabilisation unit is lowered onto the rail track and driven with a variable direction of rotation.
EFFECT: ensured rail track stabilisation.
