FIELD: electrical energy generating devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for generating mechanical and/or electrical energy using the thermomagnetic effect, which are intended for use mainly in submarines. The air-independent thermomagnetic engine for submarines contains a movable element made with the possibility of rotation around its axis, ferromagnets, a permanent magnet, a shaft and pipelines for supplying and removing coolant. The movable element is made in the form of a ring and contains a permanent magnet. A heat-removing tape is mounted along the perimeter of the ring, on top of which ferromagnets are mounted. The ring is driven into rotation by magnetic forces resulting from the temperature gradient of the ferromagnets provided by the coolant. The peculiarity of the invention lies in the fact that the heating and cooling of the coolant is carried out due to exothermic and endothermic chemical reactions occurring in chemical reactors.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the engine, as well as the possibility of obtaining mechanical and electrical energy without the use of air.
