ANAEROBIC PROPULSIVE COMPLEX OF UNDERWATER VEHICLE AND METHOD OF OPERATION OF HEAT ACCUMULATORS (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC B63H11/04 B63G8/00 F02G1/43

Abstract RU 2821806 C1

FIELD: underwater equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in non-nuclear submarines, deep-sea unmanned underwater vehicles of increased autonomy, designed to perform a wide range of combat, research, search and underwater operations in a wide range of depths. Mechanical part of power plant includes rotary vane engine with external supply of heat of closed cycle with forced introduction of plates by means of hinged rhombus mechanism, conical permanently closed reduction gear; bi-rotor reversible electric generator for power supply of payload and maintenance of charged electric batteries; a pump for pumping water through the cooler, which directs water into the movement, steering and heeling compensation system. Mechanical part is installed in tight sound-insulated capsule, which is filled with gaseous sulfur hexafluoride under excess pressure—to prevent leakage of working medium from sealing systems of friction pairs. Heater, heat exchanger and cooler are installed outside the capsule. Heat accumulator for heat carrier/fuel is made in form of at least one cylinder, which is equipped with a free piston and is filled with lithium, which is heated before starting the apparatus from the inductor of the heating system with medium or high frequency currents from stationary power supply sources. Working medium is heated by transferring heat to it from lithium, first used as a heat carrier, then as fuel for an exothermic reaction with sulfur hexafluoride. Vehicle control and movement is carried out by means of water-jet system.

EFFECT: simplified design of power plant, reduced resistance to movement of apparatus and increased autonomy.
