Method for producing a flavonoid-based composition for application in cosmetics includes the stage of introducing sodium alginate into a complex of biologically active components, wherein flavonoids are used as biologically active components, extracted from Yalta onion husks with distilled water in a Yalta onion husks : water ratio of 1 : 20 for 48 to 72 hours at room temperature; high-viscosity powdered sodium alginate is then added to the resulting extract as calculated for 40 mg sodium alginate per 1 ml extract, and the mixture is held for 24 hours until a homogeneous viscous product is formed.

EFFECT: expanded range of cosmetics based on plant-based natural ingredients, possibility of producing a composition with regenerating, turgor-restoring, and skin-rejuvenating effect based on inexpensive natural components according to a sufficiently simple technology.
