SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry. A method for determining the calcium: magnesium ratio in solutions is disclosed, in which in identical samples at pH>12, magnesium is successively determined spectrophotometrically in the presence of sucrose with titanium yellow and titrimetrically calcium Trilon B in the presence of murexide.
EFFECT: invention ensures efficiency of determination, excludes the preparation and use of acids, alkalis and buffer solutions for adjusting the pH of the medium, and greatly simplifies the process.
