FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and concerns a method for quantitative determination of calcium and magnesium in medicinal plant raw material. Proposed method comprises ashing material in a muffle furnace at temperature of 500 °C, annealing to constant weight, dissolving obtained ash in 10 % hydrochloric acid solution, filtering obtained hydrochloric acid solution of ash. Further, method comprises complexometric titration with Trilon B for calcium in presence of acidic chromium dark blue at pH 11-12, and for magnesium in presence of pyrocatechin violet at pH 9-10.

EFFECT: use of method enables complete quantitative determination of trace elements, both in free and bound form during their joint presence.
