SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a metal powder for the manufacture of steel parts, in particular, by additive technology, the metal powder contains, wt.%: 6.5≤Si≤10, 4.5≤Nb≤10, 0.2≤B≤2.0 , 0.2≤Cu≤2.0, C≤2 and optionally contains Ni≤10 and/or Co≤10 and/or Cr≤7 and/or Zr as a substitute for the Nb part in a ratio of one to one, and/or Mo as a one-to-one replacement for the Nb part, and/or P as a one-for-one replacement for the Si part, and/or one or more additional elements selected from Hf, Ta, W, V, Y , and the content of each additional element is less than 3.5, and / or one or more rare earth metals, and the content of each rare earth metal is less than 0.2, the rest is iron and inevitable impurities, while the metal powder has a microstructure containing at least 5% of the area of the amorphous phase, the rest is crystalline ferritic phases with a grain size below 20 µm, and has an average sphere an identity of at least 0.80.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the workability of the powder in the manufacture of products by increasing its fluidity and magnetic properties.
