SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, in particular to drive devices, and can be used to lift liquids from great depths. The hydraulic drive of the borehole pump contains a borehole module connected by pipelines with a power hydraulic cylinder and a reverse module with a hydraulic tank, a reverse device, an engine and a pump. A hydraulic lock is installed in the reverse device, which provides reciprocating motion of the power hydraulic cylinder, an additional pipeline through which a hydraulic control signal is supplied from the pressure pipeline of the power hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic distributor that provides reverse of the power hydraulic cylinder, and an additional throttle installed at the inlet to the piston cavity of the hydraulic lock, which provides the supply of working fluid to ensure the minimum speed of movement of the hydraulic lock pusher, what provides the power hydraulic cylinder with a smooth reverse, when the string is suspended and there is no movement of the power hydraulic cylinder down. The hydraulic lock is closed due to the loss of control pressure, thereby excluding unauthorized movement of the power hydraulic cylinder down.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a hydraulic drive of a borehole pump with a reverse device to ensure its control without an additional energy source, provided that the pump with the electric motor running in idle mode or in its off position is discharged.
