A burner for a mobile, fuel-operated heating device, in particular for a vehicle heating device, includes an evaporator receiving body (2) for receiving an evaporator assembly for distributing and evaporating liquid fuel and at least one fuel supply line (4) for supplying liquid fuel to the evaporator assembly. Moreover, the burner has a circumferential wall (8) with a plurality of air supply holes (12). The circumferential wall (8) in at least one first region, which surrounds one of the air supply holes, has an increased thickness compared to the second region, which is located between the two air supply holes.
EFFECT: improving the swirling of the combustion air.
