SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a burner for a mobile fuel-operated heating device, in particular for a vehicle heating device, comprising an evaporator receiving body (2) for receiving an evaporator assembly for distributing and evaporating liquid fuel and at least one fuel supply line (4) for supplying liquid fuel to the evaporator assembly, wherein the burner is having a circumferential wall (8) with a plurality of air supply holes (12), the air supply holes (12) are located in at least one row (20, 22), and the row (20, 22) extends, in particular, in circumferential direction, wherein the air supply holes (12) in the said at least one row (20, 22) comprise at least one first air supply hole (14) with a first longitudinal axis (14a) of a hole, a first inlet surface (14b) and a first outlet surface (14c) and at least one second air supply hole (15) with a second longitudinal axis (15a) of a hole, a second inlet surface (15b) and a second outlet surface (15c), wherein the first longitudinal axis (14a) of the hole forms a first angle α1 with the normal (8a) to the circumferential wall of the first air supply hole (14), and the second longitudinal axis (15a) of the hole forms a second angle α2 with the normal (8a) to the circumferential wall of the second air supply hole (15).

EFFECT: invention improves the quality of fuel combustion and reduces the amount of nitrogen oxide emissions.
