FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing radio engineering systems (RES) for passive trajectory tracking of aircraft by the radiation of their airborne radio electronic equipment (ARES). The substance of the claimed technical solution lies in the fact that the ARES signals are simulated by equipment installed on the ground, with the ability to move in the elevation plane according to a given program, and the RES being tested is placed on a turntable that ensures its rotation in the azimuthal plane according to a given program. At the same time, the joint movement of the ARES simulator relative to the RES being tested in both planes provides an imitation of the flight of the aircraft carrier of the ARES in ground conditions.
EFFECT: elimination of restrictions imposed on the use of aircraft during RES tests by replacing the flight experiment with a ground-based one.
