SUBSTANCE: method and system for determining antenna characteristics at the measuring site by installing the antenna under study above the surface of the measuring site and determining the antenna characteristics using a vehicle located on the measuring site, on which an antenna-feeder system connected to radio measuring equipment is mounted and a data recording and storage unit, while, for positioning the vehicle, single-wire radio transmission lines are installed orthogonally to each other, and an external radar corner reflector is installed near the phase centre of the antenna under study.

EFFECT: positioning of measuring antennas and determination of antenna characteristics in absence of signals from satellite navigation systems.
