FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology, and specifically to inertial navigation systems. The essence of the proposed method consists in the joint assessment of the roll, pitch and yaw of an aircraft by measurements of three-component angular velocity and linear acceleration sensors, one receiver of a satellite navigation system using the algorithm of a nonlinear suboptimal filter of the first order of the Kalman type approximation. In this case, the suboptimal filter has the third order of the state vector.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of a platformless inertial navigation system and reducing the required computational costs.
