FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The cardan drive contains two cardan joints, connected immobile to each other by a collapsible cardan shaft having a movable axial connection in the center of the shaft, made in the form of a spline drive of one half of the shaft. Half of the shaft is mounted in a matching spline sleeve located on the other half of the shaft with the possibility of axial reciprocating movement of the shaft halves and torque transmission. The cardan joints are connected to the collapsible cardan shaft (1) movably with the possibility of reversible axial and angular movements. The cardan joints are connected to the collapsible cardan shaft (2) by means of torsion springs installed concentrically along the axis in the radial grooves of the collapsible halves of the cardan shaft and cardan joints, and fixed by their extreme turns.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and efficiency of quenching torsional vibrations is achieved.
