FIELD: drilling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing materials by cutting, namely, to the field of edge cutting machining of metals by drilling on CNC machines, in particular, to designs of three-toothed drill bits. Drill bit comprises a shank, a calibration part and a cutting part with three cutting teeth with a chip flute and a cutting edge on each of the teeth. The cutting edge consists of two sections and a transverse cutting edge. The radial-section profile of the screw flute is determined by the specified dependencies from the condition of ensuring rectilinearity on the first cutting edge section with an angle ι relative to the axis belonging to the conical generating surface with a smooth transition in the form of a circular arc with a radius ρ to the second cutting edge section at an angle determined by the specified equation.
EFFECT: higher productivity of processing holes by uniform load distribution along the entire cutting edge due to the achieved uniformly varying angle of inclination of the cutting edge in two sections.
