METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXTENDING THE SPEED RANGE AND ENSURING THE SURVIVABILITY OF A THREE-PHASE VALVE MOTOR Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC H02P6/08 H02P25/18

Abstract RU 2790625 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering, electromechanics and power electronics.

SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to electrical engineering, electromechanics and power electronics. The technical result is achieved by using a device comprising a control unit, a semiconductor commutator and current sensors connected to a valve motor with three phase windings and three rotor position sensors. When motor speed reaches a threshold value, when torque decreases below a preset value, the switching algorithm of the semiconductor commutator keys is changed so that, from a functional point of view, three single-phase motors operate on one shaft. As a result, the no-load speed of the motor is also increased by a factor of approximately . Changes in the commutator circuit and separation of motor phases are not required. The functioning of the motor as three single-phase machines (single-phase three-phase operation) operating on one shaft makes it possible to keep two phases operational with a single failure in the third phase.

EFFECT: invention provides possibility to increase valve motor speed range and provide the motor endurance.
