SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heavy oil processing and may be used in oil refining industry. A heavy oil bitumen production plant contains a heavy oil feed line and includes an CDU-VDU with atmospheric and vacuum distillates output lines and bitumen feedstock, the plant additionally includes a bitumen production unit, the CDU-VDU consists of an CDU section and a fractionation section, the CDU section includes a first recuperative heat exchanger, atmospheric condenser and electrical desalting unit, the fractionation section includes a vacuum condenser, first and second heating furnace, atmospheric separator, first and second vacuum separators and vacuum creating device, bitumen production unit includes second and third recuperative heat exchangers and an oxidation section.
EFFECT: invention provides for increasing bitumen yield by excluding the heavy oil part producing synthetic oil, which is achieved by eliminating the branching of the oil feed line for mixing, and simplifying the plant, which is achieved by reducing the number of pieces of equipment in the CDU-VDU.
